BRIEF HISTORY OF X-RAY HOUSE

Dr. Narendra L Patel of X-ray House started his radiological practice in September, 1962 at Nima House, Relief Road, Ahmedabad. There he practiced for nearly 11 years and in 1973 he shifted to X-ray House,  Near Relief Cinema, Ahmedabad. In the beginning Dr. Narendra L Patel had one X-ray Machine of 300 MA of Philips Company and two bucky tables. At  X-ray House, Near Relief Cinema there was expansion in the activity of his radiological practice with two X-ray machines and four bucky tables.

On - 1984 another branch of X-ray House was created at X-ray machine with ultrasonography facility. In 1986-87 X-ray House had stopped its activity at Khanpur and a bigger premises at Gitanjali Flats, Near M. J. Library, Ellis Bridge, Ahmedabad has acquired with a big area of 3600sq. fts. In this new premises there was addition of CT Scan Examination over and above IITV X-ray Unit of Shimadzu Company two Ultrasound Machines, three X-ray Machines with orthopantogram and mammography facilities. The activity of X-ray House, Near Relief Cinema, Ahmedabad continued till 1995. In 1995-96 X-ray House shifted to another building of its own with additional facility of MRI Unit was introduced. Since very recently one more IITV unit of Siemens and one color doppler   ultrasound machine of Hewlet Packard (HP) has been installed. At present X-ray House in the new premise has four X-ray machines including two IITV equipment, one color Doppler, two ultrasound units, CT Scan and MRI machine of 1 Tesla of Siemens Company Ltd.

X-ray House fortunately runs on a rich legacy of radiologists encompassing the entire gamut of people of the same family - father - Dr Narendra Patel, son-in-law -- Dr Ajay Patel, daughter - Dr Trupti Patel, son - Dr Sanjiv Patel, daughter-in-law -- Dr Sapna Patel, son-in-law -- Dr Samir Parikh, daughter - Dr Smruti Parikh, brother-in-law -- Dr B N Patel and his wife Dr Shreedevi Patel.
